About Credit Repair
How does the credit repair process start?
It all starts with a credit assessment, which you can get by visiting our Sign Up page or calling us at (949) 238-7551. We will review your credit reports from all three bureaus and identify items that are responsible for bringing your score down. Once we've received your reports, we analyze your history and formulate a customized plan of action based on your specific needs.
Is credit repair legal?
Absolutely. Disputing items on your credit report is your legal right under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). When you use 1720 Financial Services Corp to help repair your credit, we are abiding by and using all federal and regional laws that regulate third-party credit repair assistance. We use every venue available to you under the law to assert your rights.
Can I dispute items on my credit report myself?
Although we encourage consumers to dispute their own credit if they have the time and knowledge to do so, it is important to note that, according to federal law, the credit bureaus can ignore your dispute under a variety of conditions. In our experience, a large part of dispute letters sent directly from consumers are rejected for one reason or another. 1720 Financial Services Corp's letters are expertly designed such that credit bureaus will accept the dispute and conduct a full investigation.
What happens when a credit item is disputed?
A disputed credit listing must be verified as accurate for it to remain on the credit report. If the listing contains an error, the credit bureau may simply correct the item. Very often, disputed credit items cannot be verified because either the creditor no longer possesses the necessary information, or they will not go to the effort of verifying it. In that case, the item must be removed. If a removed item reappears, 1720 Financial Services Corp will re-challenge it with the full force of the prior removal in our favor.
How long does it take to see results?
Everyone wants to see results immediately. Although everyone's credit history is different, most people will see progress within the first 45 days of their membership. The majority of the time is spent waiting for the credit bureaus to respond to requests — by law they have 30 days. As a reference, the average person with 7–10 inaccurate, misleading, or obsolete items on each credit report should be prepared for a 3–4 month commitment.
Do you dispute with all three credit bureaus?
Yes — and then some. Not only do we dispute items with all three major credit reporting agencies (Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax), we also send disputes directly to your creditors, collection agencies, and even courthouses. We do a 100% full disputing process, not just a simple bureau dispute — and we do not charge extra for this direct dispute method.

How much does bad credit actually cost me?
Auto Loan: If you are making vehicle payments, you are most likely paying between ,000 and 0,000 more over the course of the loan just for having credit score issues.
Home Loan: Damaged credit on a vehicle is nothing compared to the effect on a home loan. A typical home can cost between 80,000 and 00,000 more in interest over a 30-year loan if you are buying with damaged credit.
Credit Cards: With damaged credit, it is not unusual to be unable to get an unsecured credit card. The accounts you may be approved for will typically carry very high interest rates.
Can items that are removed come back?
Negative credit listings are deleted from credit reports every day. When we successfully remove an item, if it reappears, 1720 Financial Services Corp will re-challenge it with the full force of the prior removal in our favor. We are committed to protecting the progress we make together.
Do you guarantee results?
By law, no company can guarantee that they can have items removed from your credit reports. However, we stand behind our services with a Risk-Free Service & Performance Money-Back Guarantee. If you feel you do not see results, we will evaluate your account and you will receive a portion of your money back if appropriate progress has not been made on your case. See our
Guarantee page for full details.
Credit Score Basics
Understanding Your Score
What is a credit score and how is it calculated?
Credit scores indicate your creditworthiness in comparison with other consumers. They are generated by computers using artificial intelligence and are based on the data in your credit report. Usually a credit score is between 300 and 900. The higher your score, the more creditworthy you are to lenders. Factors include: payment history, amount of available credit, recent requests for credit, amount of credit currently being used, and length of credit history. Under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, credit scoring may not use gender, marital status, national origin, race, or religion as factors.
Where can I get my credit reports?
You can get your credit reports from annualcreditreport.com — the only federally mandated source for free reports from all three bureaus. They also offer credit monitoring alerts that will notify you of any changes to your reports. If you already have existing reports (within a couple months old), you can email or fax them to us for a free analysis.
